C4C Organization
The church’s primary means for connecting members to itself and to each other is through the Sunday School class, which we call Congregational Communities (CC’s). Our CC, Community for Christ, is taught by Tim Russell. Tim is a pastor at Second, and also the President of the Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies (MCUTS). He is a graduate of Geneva College (B.A. English/Education) and Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (M.Div.).
The class is also lay-led. Our members assume outreach and administrative ministries under a structure adopted by the church that uses the acronym OASIS. Take time to look over these positions and feel free to contact the current leaders. We are always looking for helping hands and people interested in assuming these roles in the following year.

Starting Sunday January 20, 2008, we will be reading and discussing a book by Gerald L. Sittser entitled: Water from a Deep Well; Christian Spirituality from Early Martyrs to Modern Missionaries

Events
The class lunch fellowship has moved to the second Sunday of each month. It will still be at McAlister’s at Poplar and Highland. Please join us right after class.
