Kids at Second
At Second, we love and welcome all children into our fellowship. Our mission is to partner with families to reach and teach children to know, love and serve God with all their heart, mind, strength and soul, developing followers of Christ.
There are a wide variety of classes, activities and missions opportunities offered through our Children's Ministry to bring little ones up in His love and to have fun while doing so!

VBS 2010 Recap
This year's Vacation Bible School was a great opportunity for Second to reach the Memphis community, with more than 700 kids participating! Over 350 volunteers,including 130 teenagers served our kids for the week. VBS kids raised $4725 to purchase guitars and puppets for World Relief in Cambodia. Check out the video recap below...

Sunday Mornings
During the 8:15 a.m. service, Earlybirds ages 3-5 enjoy a lesson and craft time before being taken to their respective Sunday School classrooms at 9:45 a.m. Sunday School is from 9:45 - 10:40 a.m. and, from September through May, a children's time is provided for 3-5 year olds during the late service from 11:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Children attend Sunday School from 9:45 - 10:40 a.m. and those in first grade and above (or younger, if a family so desires) attend either the 8:15 or 11:00 a.m. worship service with their parents. The elementary Sunday School curriculum includes studies from the Children's Catechism and reformed curriculum presented through games, skits, Bible reading and age-appropriate activities.

MidWeek
September through November and January through May
Kids Konnection on Wednesday nights offers more than an hour of fun, music, games and a message for second through sixth graders. Our goal is for children to have fun at church and hear about God in creative ways. All grades meet in the gym with pick-up in E111. Coordinators are Lucy and John Wepfer.
Sixth graders are invited to join our sixth grade staff to serve as leaders for the Kids Konnection group. Interested sixth graders may call the Children’s Ministries Office at 454-0034.
