AMEN Bible Study is a rich time of learning and fellowship that equips men to be the husbands, fathers, and business or community leaders they are meant to be.
AMEN is held in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday mornings. Breakfast begins at 6:15am and the study is from 6:30-7:30am.
2015-2016 AMEN Schedule
Resumes January 7, 2016
Series: Romans: Our Message to the World
The cost for this study (34 weeks) is $150.00 (or $75 per semester). This covers breakfasts, notebooks, our textbook by John R. Stott and notes for the year.
A Special Note: No one will be turned away from AMEN due to finances. If you need a partial or full scholarship, contact Mike Stokke (507-7833), and it will be taken care of confidentially. If your resources allow, however, we encourage you to make a contribution towards scholarships for others. For all, this is a great time to invite friends to AMEN. Men’s hearts are often softened during tough times, and they are opened in new ways. Be bold in inviting friends and acquaintances!
AMEN Small Groups
For those attending the Thursday morning study,we also encourage you to consider committing to an AMEN small group for the year. Small groups allow you to meet with other men to discuss Sandy’s teaching, to encourage each other in practical Christian living, and to know each other well enough to pray for one another. Sandy provides discussion questions, along with Bible readings that are pertinent to each week’s discussion. You may already have such a group or know men with whom you would like to meet. If not, we will be glad to help you connect with others. Don Riley is our small group coordinator and is a master at putting together effective small groups. Call him at 461-2819 to get started.
Being in a small group has provided me with wonderful fellowship, great counsel, support, and accountability. The most rewarding aspect has been receiving godly wisdom and discernment when faced with challenging decisions. I feel that I have given myself to the Lord more than I ever would have because of participating in a small group.
In extending the ministry of AMEN, one of our greatest desires is that it would serve as a context for Christ-centered, intergenerational mentoring connections.
We are seeking mature mentors who are willing to invest themselves in Christ-centered relationships, and younger men who desire the influence of a mentor in their lives. While we will facilitate these connections, the details of the mentoring will be worked out within each of those 1-on-1 relationships.
