Second Wednesday

Second Wednesday was formed by the Session as a way for us, as a corporate body of believers, to make prayer a more intentional part of worship at Second. We encourage you to participate in this important time of communion with the Lord and with each other every second Wednesday in the
Congregational Prayer Requests June 16 through July 7
Praise God:
- Recreation at VBS recreation went very well with no major injuries.
- The 2PC Family Picnic was a great success, and helped support the Argentina mission trip.
- Over 360 children have signed up for our fall sports, 70% of which are non-2PC members.
- God has opened up a door for us to have a ministry with the White Station girls’ soccer team.
- God has provided many wonderful coaches and volunteers for our teams.
Pray for Summer Camps:
- Children’s summer basketball and soccer camps would be well attended, successful, and be honoring to God.
- White Station Fellowship of Christian Athletes football camp will be held at 2PC in July and basketball camp to be held in November. Please pray that the camps would result in non-believer high school students coming to know Christ and for Christian students to grow in their love for God.
- Strength and renewal for our staff team this summer as we look towards the upcoming fall season.
Pray for Fall Sports:
- Rachel Hammons will begin a new ministry to the girls’ soccer team this fall. Pray that God would give her favor with the girls on the team and that girls would have softened hearts towards the gospel.
- We currently have over 360 children signed up for fall soccer and flag football. Please pray that our sports would minister to these children and their families.
- We are in urgent need of coaches for each of our fall teams, as well as parents who can be serve as “shepherds” for the teams.
- Spirit-filled team devotions during fall sports.
- Over 70% of our fall participants are non members of Second Presbyterian. Please pray that these families would find a church home if they do not already, and that some would consider membership at Second.
- Parents and coaches would see the incredible opportunity they have to minister to their team as well as their team members’ families.
- Training of coaches during coaches meetings.
