Second is a family, and just like any family, we all have a role to play. God has gifted us with different talents, interests and abilities, and He wants us to use them for His glory. We encourage you to find a place where you can learn, grow, serve and develop relationships that will last a lifetime.

The best place to start is with a Congregational Community. That’s a mouthful, so we call them “CCs.” You probably know them as Sunday School classes, and they meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. There are many to choose from based on your interests, age or life stage. Your CC will become your “home base” at Second where you’ll be known, cared for and loved.

Another great place to grow your Christian life is through Bible Studies. There are several options for Women’s Bible Studies that focus on books of the Bible, family life and service. AMEN Men’s Bible Study meets early Thursday mornings for breakfast, warm fellowship and a deeper dive into various books of the Bible.

Service is an important part of our family life, and there are literally hundreds of ways get involved. Want to rock a baby? Tutor a child? Wash dishes? Plant flowers? Lead a youth Bible Study? Coach a team? Bake brownies? We’ve got you covered! Volunteer Ministries can match your interests to a wide range of opportunities throughout the church and community.

Whatever you choose, God promises to bless and reward your efforts. So don’t be intimidated by our big, noisy and sometimes overwhelming family… there’s a place at the table for you!
