The Walk
A weekly Bible study for women of all ages.
Christ’s Passion: Our Peace – A Study in Mark
Jesus has a passion for you! Want to find out what this means in your life? Is your heart hungry for a more passionate faith?
This year we’ll walk to the foot of the Cross together, studying the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Come walk through Mark’s Gospel with us, deepening your roots and strengthening your faith in Christ. We’ll gain peace and practical wisdom that we can apply to our walk with our families, work, and friends.
The Walk is an inductive Bible study that enables women to know Christ personally, to grow in understanding His Word, and then to live and walk in the light of what they have learned. This form of direct Bible study is essential for spiritual, moral and intellectual growth.
You’ll find The Walk a study of God’s Word that is accessible for those students new to Bible study, while challenging those with experience. Individual study at home, group discussions and a weekly lecture are the three components of this study.

Renew Bible Study
Speaking of the Kingdom: The Prayers and Parables of Jesus
Much can be known about a person by the way he/she prays – the words that are used and the heart that is revealed. In the same way, much can be known about a person by the stories he/she tells and the way those stories are told.
If we want to know more about Jesus, we can read His prayers, listen to His stories and experience the transformation and call to discipleship that His words stir in us.
Join us in Renew as we study the prayers and parables of Jesus.
Day/time: Wednesdays: 6:30 am – 7:30 am

A Mother's Heart
What a privilege and a gift from God it is to be a Mom! However, the challenge of being a Christian mother in today’s world can bring feelings of inadequacy, loneliness and frustration. A Mother’s Heart is designed to help equip mothers of children aged birth to 9th grade for their demanding job by:
• Providing encouragement through supportive friendships
• Cultivating practical skills for building positive parent-child relationships
• Building a sense of Christ-centered confidence
• Promoting spiritual growth and commitment through prayer and Bible study
While the Moms study, the children aged birth to five years are given an opportunity to play and learn through our Children’s Ministry. Space is limited and is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fall Semester Study: September 10-November 19
OPTION 1: A Mom After God’s Own Heart, by Elizabeth George
Scripture places the primary responsibility for religious training with the parents. Does this fact overwhelm you – or leave you feeling inadequate? Join the club! Our fall study of Elizabeth George’s A Mom After God’s Own Heart will help ease your anxieties by providing specific and practical ideas on training your children in the Christian faith. Topics include teaching your children about God, about His Word, about Jesus and how to pray. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to nurture your child’s heart for the Lord!
Recommended for mothers with children aged birth through 4th grade.
OPTION 2: Got Teens? Time-Tested Answers for Moms of Teens and Tweens, by Jill Savage & Pam Farrel
Navigating the challenges of parenting our teens continues to confound even the best of Christian parents. The world seems set to discourage us. Yet – take heart! Popular Christian writers Jill Savage and Pam Farrel have teamed up to write Got Teens? Time-Tested Answers for Moms of Teens and Tweens. Their book and our study will give Bible-based strategies and applications in several areas of common concern such as discipline, money management, guy/girl relationships, spiritual training and parenting the troubled teen.

Winter/Spring Semester Study: January 14-April 8
What’s He Really Thinking? By Paula Rinehart

Paula combines insight from 20 years of counseling and 30 years of marriage with scripture and scientific research to help women understand men. She also coaches us on better ways to handle conflict, balance expectations, nurture intimacy and show true respect to our husbands. Women of the Church Circles
The Women of the Church Circles meet monthly for Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and service. Our chief aim in studying Scripture is to grow in grace and knowledge as we are being conformed to the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each Circle has a Bible Moderator who teaches the lesson. The Circles meet at different times and locations

( most on the 1st or 2nd Tues. of each month) from September through May.
Our study book this year is entitled Prayer: An Adventure with God by David Healey. We may sense that our "sweet hour of prayer" is not what it should be, and we are perplexed as to why it is so. We may struggle with the issue of unanswered prayer, or hindrances to prayer that affect our communion with God. We learn best about prayer by praying, yet we may gain new insights and experiences in the adventure of prayer by studying the prayers of such biblical individuals as Moses, Daniel, Mary, Paul, and our Lord Jesus. A Christian writer has described prayer as "weakness leaning on Omnipotence"; we will continue to rejoice that our Mighty God is waiting for us to come into His Presence and to commune with Him!
