Women's Retreat
Seeking God with Our Whole Heart
April 13 – 15, 2012
Refresh and rejuvenate your relationship with the Lord and friends at the 2PC Women’s Retreat at Victory Ranch in Bolivar, Tennessee. Whether you are college age, a senior, or somewhere in between, you will love the fun atmosphere, the opportunity to grow in your faith, and the memorable times with your friends, both old and new.
Everyone needs a weekend getaway like this one to relax and reflect! One previous Retreat attendee said, “I was so encouraged by my new friends and what I learned from others. Excellent retreat!” Still another, “The entire experience was a true blessing,” and one of our younger retreat participants enthusiastically said, “Loved it!”
A few Highlights from the 2011 Women's Retreat
Our theme “Seeking God with Our Whole Heart” will be presented by our speaker, Jo Kadlecek, a former English teacher who changed careers in 1992 when she left teaching to become a freelance writer. Her work includes dozens of feature stories, personality profiles, investigative articles, interviews, and books, including A Desperate Faith and Woman Overboard.
Jo is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and she holds Master of Arts degrees in communication and humanities. Currently, she is the senior writer at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, a top Christian liberal arts college just north of Boston, where she also serves on the faculty, teaching journalism classes. She and her husband Chris – a filmmaker from Australia – love the ocean, history, and cities, and are currently leaders in their local church, Northpoint EPC in Peabody, Massachusetts.
