Out of the Box Luncheon, May 13

Uganda Garage Sale Fundraiser

The Uganda Garage Sale, which will benefit the senior Hight missions team going to Uganda this summer, will be May 2 (8 a.m.-3 p.m.) and May 3 (8 a.m.-3 p.m.) Get your spring scleaning done and bring all your sellable items (including clean, gently worn clothes) to the containers on the Central parking lot.

Drop-off dates and time:

Sunday, April 27 (5-6 p.m.)
Wednesday, April 30 (5-7 p.m.)

We have special pickup for large items, available upon request. Please call Macon Ivy at 683-6565 or Kathy Wilson in the Youth Office.

Update: Berclair Clean-up Date Moved to April 19

The April 12th Spring Clean-Up at Berclair School has been postponed. The grounds at Berclair are so saturated from the recent rains that any gardening/landscaping work would not be productive.

The new date will be next Saturday, April 19th at 8:30 a.m. to end at noon.

Spring Clean Up at Berclair, April 12

MissionUSA invites you and your family to participate in the third annual Spring Clean Up at Berclair Elementary School. This will be an excellent opportunity to participate in our Adopt-A-School partnership and build relationships with Berclair students and teachers. Covenant Keepers is grilling hot dogs. The Jr. High youth are providing games and activities for all the kids while the adults do work projects around the school. Sam Shaw, member of Second
and principal of the school, will be our host. We will gather at the school at 8:30 a.m. april 12 and finish by noon. We will be doing some cleanup and planting, so please bring yard tools with you.

Berclair Elementary is located at 810 North Perkins. This is on Perkins, just north of Summer Avenue. To sign up, contact Natasha Hughes in the Mission's Office at 454-0034, ext 199.

Volunteers Needed During Holy Week

As Lenten season quickly takes us into Easter, the most beautiful time of the year, we will be worshipping our Lord and every day of Holy Week. This is a joyful time to serve Him through serving your church, and we have several opportunities. Please email volunteer@2pc.org or call (901) 454-0034 to sign up for one of the following and you will receive more blessings than those you are serving!

Greeters for Noon Holy Week Services: Monday-Friday, arrive at 11:30 a.m. Maundy Thursday Service: Arrive at 6 p.m., service begins at 6:30 p.m. Easter Sunrise Service Greeters and Hosts: Arrive at 6 a.m. at the Botanic Garden, service is at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast is served afterwards for those who attend.

Bookmark Bookstore Reopens Sunday, March 9th

It's the beginning of a new chapter in the life of The Bookmark bookstore as it opens in its new space across from the reception desk this Sunday, March 9. While the official grand re-opening will be delayed for a few more weeks while the finishing touches are added, you can once again stop in The Bookmark for books, cards, gift items and more as you make your way through the B Building. Store hours will be: Monday thru Wednesday 9am – 5pm Thursdays 9am – 4pm Fridays 9am – 3pm Sunday: Between & 30 minutes after worship services Stop in and check out their new digs, and watch the Messenger for details on the grand re-opening celebration.
