2PC Greeters
Warm and friendly faces are needed to greet at our two Advent music events and Christmas Eve Services. These programs bring many guests to Second and we want to properly welcome them. December 14, 6 p.m. Festival of Carols; December 24, 4, 5:30, 8 or 11 p.m. Christmas Eve. Contact Kim Blankenship at 454–0034.
AMEN Holiday Donation
Holiday Mission Collection- We are collecting items for the men who stay at the Calvary Rescue Mission and Memphis Union Mission. Coats, hats, gloves and socks are needed. These items can be dropped off at AMEN Bible study December 11 & 18.
Berclair Elementary School
Christmas Books – Each child at Berclair will receive a new reading book from 2PC for Christmas. There are 548 children from ages 4 to 12. We are purchasing the books so they will be reading level appropriate but donations are being taken to help fund this effort. Contact Kim Blankenship at 454-0034.
Brinkley Heights Urban Academy
Toy Store – New toy donations for elementary age school children are needed. Please contact Sam Wilson at 458-0617 or .
Emmanuel Episcopal Center
Christmas Store Worker – During the second week of December, help organize toys that have been donated. The store is held at the Center at 604 St. Paul Ave. Call for times. Contact Ernestine Bolden at 523-2617.
MIFA
Holiday Meals Delivery – Volunteers are needed to deliver meals on Christmas Day. Please contact Helen Ryan at 529-4513 to volunteer.
Holiday Hope Chest – Donate gifts for 500 youth in MIFA programs. Volunteers are needed to sort and disperse the toys. Call Ellen Whitten at 529-4507, ext. 507.
Address Holiday Cards – Volunteers are needed to address holiday cards beginning in early December. Contact Charlie Nelson, 527-0208, ext. 514.
Neighborhood Christian Center
Toy Store Donations – New toy donations are needed by December 19. Please contact Pam Cox at 881-6025.
Christmas Basket Program – Volunteers are needed to pack Christmas baskets December 13, at 8 a.m. at 2542 Broad Avenue.
Salvation Army
Angel Tree Volunteer at Christmas – Volunteers are needed to sort the gifts at the Angel Tree warehouse and distribute the gifts to families. Please call Cherita Hopper at 543-8586, ext 120.
