James Ryan Violin Recital

Second's Music Intern, James Ryan, will perform a violin recital on Saturday, April 24, at 7pm in the Sanctuary, and all are invited! This event will also be live streamed at 2pc.org.
The program will include works by J.S. Bach, Peter Tchaikovsky, George Gershwin, and others. Throughout the program, James will join forces with pianist Dawson Hull, organist Samuel Metzger, and fellow graduate students from the University of Memphis.
James is a Master’s student in violin performance at the University of Memphis. He received his Bachelor of Music in 2019, along with minors in Worship and Biblical Studies, from Cedarville University in Ohio. He is an active musician outside of school, playing regularly with the Gateway Festival Orchestra of St. Louis and the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Beyond violin performance, James’ musical interests include arranging, conducting, music history, and worship studies. James currently works as a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis and as a music ministry intern at Second Presbyterian Church.
