The Walk

A weekly Bible study for women of all ages; Tuesdays from 9:15-11:00am

This year we will be studying the book of Acts using a study by Karen Stafford. Luke was a historian whose desire was to write an “orderly account.” There is a close relationship between Luke’s gospel and Acts as both were dedicated to Theophilus. More importantly, the final scene of Luke and the first scene of Acts include Jesus’ instruction to His apostles and His final ascension. Jesus affirmed that the apostles were witnesses of His earthly ministry and would receive the promise of His Father, the Holy Spirit. Luke chronicled historical events but his Acts of the Apostles underscored the influence of the Holy Spirit in the life and growth of the nascent church.
