Craig and Stacy Pohl

Japan

Church Planter Training

In May 2022, Craig and Stacy Pohl arrived in Japan to begin their new mission there after 20 years of service in Latin America. Their mission duties in Japan (serving with Mission to the World) is to reach the people of Chiba, Japan, with the gospel while working with a local church, Kaihin Makuhara Grace Church. They are also expecting to be involved with church planting in Japan. Right now, most of their time is involved in aggressive language learning and reaching out to people in the community through engagement activities through their church. They are also excited about the recent wedding engagements of their daughters Karis and Aimee to Jonathan and Nathan (all are students at Covenant College in Chattanooga).

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that in their last four months of language study that they make significant progress in their ability to speak, read, and understand Japanese.
  • Pray that their recent church activities with non-church members during Christmas and New Year’s celebrations might plant seeds and lead people to faith in our Lord.
  • Praise for the ordination of MTW teammate, Josiah Momose, as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church in Japan and for the recent wedding engagements of their daughters Karis and Aimee to Jonathan and Nathan.
