Second Conservatory of Music

The Second Conservatory of Music provides quality music education in a Christian environment for all ages and abilities.

As a ministry associated with the music department, our program is designed to build musical potential in preparation for future service in ministry, musical performance, and enjoyment.

The Conservatory is open to anyone who seeks to improve musical proficiency or enrich musical gifts. We are dedicated to providing quality music instruction by highly-qualified Christian teachers.

Individualized instruction is offered on a per-semester basis. All lessons will be given at Second Presbyterian Church and lesson times are arranged between instructor and student.

Private lessons are currently offered in the following disciplines:

  • Voice
  • Piano
  • Pipe Organ
  • Viola
  • Violin

    What Does it Cost?

    The Spring 2019 session begins January 7 and ends April 17. The recital will be held April 25. 

    Tuition for 14 half-hour lessons is $385 for members of Second, $420 for non-members.

    The tuition for 14 1-hour lessons is $770 for members and $840 for non-members.

    The tuition for 14 45-minute lessons is $577.50 for members and $612.50 for non-members.

    Payment of fees is due in full by payment online by the first lesson.  You may make additional payment arrangements by contacting the director, Christy Young.

    How Do I Register?

    Registration for Spring 2019 is available online. Registration is $25 for individuals, with a maximum of $50 per family. There is a yearly registration fee of $25 (maximum of $50 per family). This helps to cover program expenses and other possible expenses for the year.
