Qualifications

Clear Christian Testimony
The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their relationship with Jesus Christ, profess a well-grounded and vital faith, and exhibit a Christ-centered life.

Shepherd
The ideal candidate will be able to lead with compassion and confidence and be able to faithfully shepherd God’s people.

Winsome Communicator
The ideal candidate will be able to interact with other professionals and be a leader to leaders as well as being approachable interpersonally.

Vision-Caster
The ideal candidate will be able to gather, equip, and mobilize people around a shared vision. This includes particular gifting and ability to relate well to a wide range of people with a high commitment toward intentional relationship building. 

Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of their unique gifting and will have found their voice, thus enabling them to lead with confidence. He or she would have served in some capacity in a school or church as either an Assistant Director or Director.

Audio Visual Director

Second Presbyterian Church is seeking a highly motivated creative individual with strong communication and organizational skills. This individual would be responsible for sound, lighting and video applications to support the mission of Second Presbyterian Church and its related ministries. Second places a high value on excellence and offers a competitive salary based on experience.

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • 2-3 years experience in both live and studio sound mixing
  • Ability to recruit, train and lead a team of volunteers 
  • Strong people skills that enable working well with clients and co-workers 
  • Proficiency in multi-track recording techniques 
  • Video experience, including familiarity with Final Cut Pro is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Weekly production of 30 minute prerecorded television broadcast
  • A/V support for the worship services of Second 
  • Overseeing A/V for special events and conference weekends 
  • Maintenance and repair for A/V equipment on campus 
  • Overseeing A/V improvement projects 
  • Directing outside vendors/freelancers as needed for audio and video projects
