Me & U is designed to offer moms some inspiration and kids some recreation! Join us this Summer for all four sessions, or as many as your schedule allows.Your kids will enjoy music and storytime in the Fellowship Hall while you join other moms in the Salmon room for fun, interesting and informative sessions led by your peers hear at 2PC. At 11, you'll join your child for a brief craft time. You're welcome to bring friends, and nursery is provided for younger siblings.
July 10 - Inching Toward Overcommitment
The Egg Hunt sounds fun! So do the new MidWeek classes, Mother’s Heart, all of the conferences, the Issues Forums, choir and volunteering at Berclair… but tack these on to regular worship and other commitments and yikes, your calendar and your kids can get overcommitted. Katie West, our interim co-director of Women in Ministry, is going to help us take a look at how to lose the guilt and find the inspiration to choose the activities that work for our family… and say no to the rest!
July 17 - Appraising Our Assets
Does God really care if you can wear skinny jeans? Will your white teeth and shiny hair help someone see the light? Surely heaven means no more trying on swimsuits ever, right? Elizabeth Dickinson will challenge us to focus on weightier issues in life, such as good health and a self-image based on Christ, not on curves.
July 24 - Book Reviews
Every summer needs a good book or two, and Jenny Wilkes, Malise Culpepper and others will share with us recent reads that brought insight, inspiration or laughter to their lives.
July 31 - Calculating the Cost
The matching smocked outfits are so cute…. how could you resist? Sure, you spent more than you intended, but it’s for the kids, right? Whether its our kids, our homes or even ourselves, it’s very easy to get caught up in pursuing a lifestyle… instead of pursuing a life of service to Him. Tracy Anthony will help us to see the eternal cost of “keeping up with the Joneses.”
