Living The Resurrection: In Our Lives…In Our Church…In our World - The Letter to the Romans
Teaching Leader: Jackie Gatliff
Well known as a theological work that is exuberant and passionate, Paul’s letter to the Romans is essentially a work of spiritual formation in a community of souls. Paul takes the well-witnessed and devoutly believed reality of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and thinks through its implications for daily, ordinary living. How is it possible that this Jesus caused world history to move in a new direction – eternally affecting the life of every man, woman and child on the planet? Paul asks and answers the questions in his day the same questions that are asked by us today: what is God up to? What does it mean that Jesus “saves”? What’s behind all of this and where is it going?
