Summer with Shine!
Vacation Bible School
Join us for VBS! We are excited to walk through the story of redemption in the book of Exodus, focusing on God’s covenant relationship with His people. The week will be filled with song, dance, crafts, recreation, and snacks!
There are 2 options for Shine participants at VBS:
1) Shine Special Needs Classroom: Sign-up to participate in the Shine classroom, which is is 7th grade and up. Please reach out to Shine@2pc.org with extenuating circumstances. Age exceptions may apply.
2) Typical Kid's Classroom: Sign-up to participate in a kids classroom with typical peers (these classrooms are Pre-K through 7th grade only). After registering, reach out to Shine@2pc.org for additional accommodations as needed (a buddy may be available for your child).

Weekly Programming
Sunday Mornings
9:45am - Shine Sunday School
Our Special Needs Sunday School class meets at 9:45am in room N-101. Bible lessons, activities, and games are adapted all ages and functioning levels.
11:00am - Worship Care
Volunteers are available to care for and fellowship with Shine participants in room N-101 while parents/guardians attend 11:00am worship on Sunday.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS WITH SHINE
During the year (August–April), we host a rotating schedule of themed activities each Wednesday from 6:15-7:30pm in room N-101. Join us as we have fun and worship the Lord together!
Resources
- Student Support: If you have a child that may benefit from additional support in a typical ministry setting at 2PC, contact Audrey Hamm for more details about if additional support may be available to your child.

2PC Sports: If you have a child with special needs who is interested in joining a 2PC sports team, contact Audrey Hamm, who will help place your child on the right team for him/her and coordinate any additional support that may be necessary.

Volunteer Opportunities
Student Support
Buddy System: Get paired with a buddy one time each month on an assigned Sunday (for example: you may volunteer on the 1st Sunday of each month).
Teach or Assist
Teach or assist in our Shine Sunday school class!
- Teacher & assistant to volunteer monthly on the 1st Sunday of each month
- Teacher & assistant to volunteer every other month on the 2nd Sunday of the month
WOrship care volunteer
Volunteers hang out with Shine participants while parents/guardians attend 11:00 am worship on Sunday. This is an hour to build community within the Shine ministry.
Wednesday Night volunteer
"Wednesday Nights with Shine" meets weekly throughout the school year from 6:15-7:30pm. Wednesday nights are a great time to build community we can't do it without our amazing volunteers!
