Plan Your Visit

We’re glad you’re interested in joining us!

Sundays at Second

We have two similar services each Sunday morning, at 8:15 a.m. and 11:00am in the sanctuary. Our services are liturgical, meaning they follow an established pattern of hearing and responding to God’s Word.

Services include Bible reading, preaching, congregational singing, prayers of confession, assurance of pardon for sin in Christ, and thanksgiving for God Himself and all His unmerited gifts. Our music differs in style each Sunday as we seek to reflect the beauty and diversity of the surrounding communities. Once a month, we partake in the Lord's supper during morning services, remembering and receiving anew the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross to save, sanctify, and satisfy sinners like us.

We also meet each Sunday evening at 6:00pm. Evening services are a bit more casual but, like morning services, include congregational singing and preaching of the Scriptures. Each Sunday evening, we take the Lord's supper together and are sent out to begin the week as God's people on mission in Memphis.

Parishes

Parishes are geographic districts that we use to organize our church members according to where they live. Parish ministry helps us carry out the shared mission of our church: to Retell The Gospel, Reimagine The Church and City, and Repair What Is Broken. Visit our parish homepage to learn more.

Sunday Schools

At 9:45am on Sunday mornings, we gather for our respective Sunday School classes. Some Sunday Schools are centered around age and life-stage, while others focus on Biblical topics or studies.
