Ruslan and Zhanna

Central Asia

Ruslan and Zhanna work with Young Life as regional directors, overseeing the work in Central Asia and beyond, into countries formerly part of the Soviet Union. Ruslan recruits and develops current YL staff while also initiating relationships with churches throughout Central Asia who want to start clubs of their own. Zhanna started the Capernaum 8 ministry to support families with special needs children. She teaches and trains its leaders and volunteers while networking to multiply their work. Several moms have come to faith and now bring their children to Bible studies and church. She is also overseeing YL staff in the five clubs in their own city. Last year, both helped launch the Rock, a new church plant in their city. Ruslan has been preaching, training, and organizing its growing leadership with much time and energy provided by Zhanna. 

Prayer Requests:

• Pray for God's love to be poured out on all Young Life staff affected by enormous loss and grief. 
• Pray for the Lord to give Ruslan and Zhanna personal renewal, joy in Him, and deep roots in His sovereign grace to avoid burnout. 
• Pray for their Young Life division that is reorganizing. Pray for wisdom, provision, and grace amid relational and vocational shifts.
