Damon Conley
Assistant Pastor to Middle Adults
Damon was born and raised in Memphis and trusted in Christ at a young age. Most recently, he served as the Discipleship Pastor at Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven. He earned a master's degree in Christian Studies from Union University while serving as an Associate Pastor in youth ministry at Berean Missionary Baptist Church. He went on to earn his M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He's an Adjunct Professor at CBU and also teaches at Downline. He joined Second's staff in 2021 to serve as Assistant Pastor to Middle Adults as well as those in our East parishes.
Damon is married to his high school sweetheart, Erika, and they have two sons and one daughter. His ideal day off includes a round of golf and maybe a visit to Hog and Hominy—especially if fish and chips are on the menu. He enjoys reading thoughtful works like The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin or anything by Tim Keller, and one of his favorite seasons in the church calendar is Holy Week. A surprising hobby of his is bird watching in local parks. Damon doesn’t have a pet yet, but his daughter Evie is doing her best to change that!
