Emily Skaggs
Two-Year Jr. High Resident
Emily was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas and stayed in her hometown to attend college at Arkansas State University (Go Red Wolves!). While at A-State, she was heavily involved in her sorority, Chi Omega, and spent most of her time with her friends in Campus Outreach, including spending her summers on the Orlando Project growing in her relationship with Christ and Christian community.
A few fun facts about Emily are that she loves to sing, she has a Pit Bull/Lab mix named Chanel, and she tore a ligament in her knee while making her bed (ask her about it sometime!). Throughout college, Emily experienced the gift of discipleship and knew that she wanted to continue to foster deep relationships in Christ post-grad by discipling others. This is what led her to pursue youth ministry! Emily loves new adventures, and she can't wait to see what the Lord does in and through her in Memphis.
