Thirteenth Annual Foundation Dinner

Mar 11, 2011

At our recent Christian Life Conference, Mark Dever spoke to the point that the Church is the Gospel made visible. He offered that the purpose of the Church is to manifest to the world the character of God.

As a supporting organization of our Church, the Second Presbyterian Church Foundation partners with Session approved ministries to make the Gospel visible both at home and abroad. The Foundation has a mission to assist the members of our congregation as they steward His gifts and seek to let the light of the Gospel shine before others.

The occasion of our annual dinner allows us to focus on spreading the light of the Gospel and the impact that is made both on others and us, when we are engaged in ministry as a corporate body and as individuals.

The thirteenth annual Foundation dinner on April 1 at 6:30pm will feature guest speaker John Yates. Yates is currently the Senior Minister of The Falls Church in Falls Church, Virginia, a large evangelical church outside of Washington, D.C., with about 3,500 members. The historic church (1732) is now known for its strong focus on family life, vibrant worship, outstanding youth ministry and strong biblical teaching and preaching.

Please be a guest of the Foundation as we continue to learn about letting the light shine before others. No tickets are needed, but a reservation is required. Make your reservation(s) with the names of each person attending by March 24. Register online at www.2pcfoundation.org or contact margaret.cranford@2pc.org or 454-0034, ext. 141.
