Neighborhood Christian Centers
There are a few ways to partner with NCC this Christmas season:
- Purchase a gift for the Neighborhood Christian Center toy drive. Wish lists will be hung on the Christmas Tree in the C-Basement for pick-up starting Sunday, November 30. Families can drop off unwrapped purchased gifts in the bins in the C Basement or at the Nursery Front Desk. Deadline to drop off toys is December 14.
- Donate to the NCC Christmas Basket Fund in honor of or in memory of a loved one and help the NCC feed those in need in our community. A card will be sent to the honoree to acknowledge your gift.
- Packing NCC Christmas Food Boxes: Join us on Thursday, December 11, from 6–8pm in the Fellowship Hall as we pack 500 food boxes for neighbors in need! Neighborhood Christian Centers is bringing part of their packing operation to our campus, giving church members of all ages a chance to serve together. Come for 30 minutes or stay the whole time—every bit helps! Questions? Contact Randi Meyer at .
Fill a Red Tub with MFCC
Memphis Family Connection Center is having a Red Tub Day, which meets the holiday desires of children in foster care in Memphis and supports therapeutic healing all year long. There are three ways you can participate:
- Sponsor a red tub for a child in foster care for $250. $125 goes towards filling a red tub with requested gifts from a child’s wish list. The second $125 is a donation to Memphis Family Connection Center’s Empowerment Fund which provides scholarships for mental health services and parent coaching for foster, adoptive, and kinship families.
- Make a $250 donation to Memphis Family Connection Center (MFCC).
- Volunteer at the Red Tub Day party on December 13. Sign up to volunteer here.
Empty red tubs will be available in the connector on Sunday, November 23, between morning services from 9:30-11:00am and after 6:00pm worship. You will turn them in on December 7. Contact with questions.

Sign Up for Texts to Serve Our Neighbors
The past few weeks have presented multiple volunteer needs in our community, often on short notice. The current special circumstances have revealed our need for a better system to connect members to service opportunities in the city—both immediate and ongoing.
To better mobilize our congregation right now and toward future efforts, we will be communicating volunteer needs via text. To receive up to date notifications on volunteer needs text SERVE901 to +1 (888) 381-1544.
While many needs this month are connected to Christmas, this text list will also share ongoing opportunities to serve throughout the year.
