Acts 4:29 “And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
Most of us are aware that countless Christian brothers and sisters around the world are being oppressed because of their devotion to Jesus. But sometimes we’re unsure what we can and should do about it. Our October equipping forum will aim to educate Second’s sisters and our friends about the current experiences of our persecuted siblings in Christ and train us in tangible opportunities that God is giving us to partner with them.
So, come join us on Thursday, October 29, from 6:30–8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall for an equipping forum focused on “Persevering with the Persecuted Church.”
Our gathering will feature a presentation by Karen Ellis, as well as a time of moderated Q&A with Karen and Andy Cheely, 2PC Director of World Missions.
Any woman or teenage girl is welcome to register for this forum. Only those who have listened to/read the preparation material may submit questions for the Q&A. Completing the prep material requires about 1.5 hours. Registrants will receive the preparation material in their registration-confirmation email.
