Leadership Training

Tim and Huilan moved back to East Asia in 2010 to start a seminary in their city. Tim recruited teachers who helped create ordination exams for local house church pastors. Last year they started a new initiative, the Center for House Church Theology, where Tim serves as a fellow. Three missionary families moved to different cities in their region in 2023 which brings the total units in the region to 11, despite increasing religious persecution. They rejoice that one pastor, held in prison for a year, has been released and is now with his wife and family. Also, three new Parakaleo groups are starting (online and in person), to encourage spiritual growth for women. The political climate is still stifling, but they are hopeful as they see increased openness in people's hearts. They are also glad that the book Faithful Disobedience, featuring the writings of many house church leaders, has been published to teach and inspire other churches facing persecution. 

Prayer Requests:

• Praise that their coworkers have stayed safe and ask for continued protection and faithful service by the power of the Spirit. 
• Pray for the new Parakaleo groups to start well, be blessed with the fruit of the Spirit, and have much gospel growth. 
• Pray for Tim's elderly mother, for provision and care, and for their children to know Christ and understand him more deeply.
