Valery and Janna Morozov

Russia

Bible Translation

Children: Anastasia (daughter in law) and Leo (grandson)

Janna and Valery Morozov have led Wycliffe Bible Translators in Russia for over 20 years. Most of their work now consists of training new missionaries and helping them adjust to the field. This summer, Janna was able to organize a retreat for mothers serving on the field to encourage, train, and teach new skills. They also were able to help lead a Wycliffe Camp and were encouraged to meet prospective missionaries before they launched into the field. Life and conditions in Russia continue to worsen as more countries close their borders to them and the political atmosphere worsens. Amidst all of this, they continue to serve, as the most senior members of their team, by encouraging their younger colleagues and hosting a bible study for believers in their area.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that they are strengthened and encouraged as believers in Russia feel more and more isolated and the political atmosphere grows more repressive.
  • Pray for continued healing as they grieve the loss of their son and are unable to visit their children outside the country.
  • Pray for wisdom as they strive to be faithful parents and grandparents to their daughter-in-law Anastasia and grandson Leo who live with them.
