George Tolias pastors Glyfada Evangelical Church in Greece which has a ministry to refugees from the surrounding countries, especially Muslims from the Middle East. Recently, the church celebrated the baptism of three refugee families. George has been working to develop their Timothy Program, a discipleship training process. This year, one of the graduates from the program expressed interest in planting a church, which would be Glyfada Church’s second daughter church. The church also helps refugees be successful in Greece through program support, training, and help with job placement. A refugee mother with two sons has recently seen success after graduating from the program. Also, praise God for the small group ministry that has started, a successful VBS, and received requests from both Greeks and refugees for discipleship opportunities.
Prayer Requests (Updated 7/31/24):
- Pray for the leaders of Glyfada Church and the prayer meeting before each service. Pray for the church to continue to grow in number and spiritual maturity.
- Pray for their Bible studies and various ministries to empower the people to become devoted followers of Christ and seek to apply God’s Word to their life.
- Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in the formalization of the Pangrati Project as anofficial church, and for the provision of a new church plant in another area of Athens.
