In 2011, John felt the call to go back to the field as part of the EPC/WO Engage 2025 initiative. Working with an Engage 2025 missionary couple in SE Asia, they began exploring the possibility of a mariculture project involving. John had a vision to use a sea cucumber business to employ local villagers and eventually plant a church. They commenced growing and selling sea cucumbers, eventually building a hatchery. A church planter joined their team, and the hatchery is making progress toward commercial levels of production. The hatchery has not scaled as quickly as John hoped, but they are encouraged by the five communities they are working with. John's team employs more than 20 nationals, both believers and Nationals. Pray for discipleship and mentorship as those relationships grow.

• Pray for wisdom for John and his team as they navigate the next season of their project. 
• Pray for a national church planting team leader who can move on site to the islands. 
• Pray for continued progress in a post-pandemic world and for the team to hit their 2024 hatchery business goals.
