Special Needs Ministry

Audrey has been working on staff at Second since 2022 leading the Shine Ministry and has a background in behavioral therapy for people with intellectual disabilities. After serving Young Life Capernaum in Central Asia on a few 2PC short-term trips, she saw the needs of the disability community which experiences a great deal of discrimination and lacks many necessary resources. The Lord has called her to long term ministry there. She will begin by studying language full-time, then begin supporting the work of YL Capernaum and providing support to connected families. Audrey’s goal will be to use behavioral therapy to reach families who are facing behavioral challenges that keeps them from engaging in community. She hopes to help widen the reach of Young Life’s existing ministry throughout Central Asia. 

2026 Prayer Requests

• Pray for the Lord’s provision for the Shine Ministry as Audrey transitions out of her role later this year. 

• Pray for the Lord’s provision of needed support, and for Audrey’s transition into a new culture and language learning. 

• Pray for those who are leading churches and ministry efforts in Central Asia, and for God to continue to work powerfully through YL Capernaum and church planting currently taking place.
