Sundays in July

It's summer, and Sundays in July at Second look a little different!

On Sunday, July 6, we’ll only have one morning worship service at 8:15am (nursery available for ages 5 and under). During the Sunday School hour, our regular adult, youth, and children’s Sunday School classes will not meet, and the nursery will close. Instead, everyone will gather in parish groups from 9:45-10:45 for a special time of relaxed fellowship and service. We’ll complete the Lord’s Day with evening worship at 6:00. Learn more and see where your parish will meet.

On July 13, 20, and 27, during our July Sunday School Series, all adults will meet together in the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour for three weeks of teaching and testimonies on the theme of "On Mission: Following in the Footsteps of Jesus." Each week will have a different topic and featured voices from our church family. View each week's topic and featured voices.

Jubilation Jazz: July 10

The Senior Adult Ministry at Second invites everyone to join them for "A 1940's Radio Show" Concert & Lunch on Thursday, July 10, at 11:00am in the Fellowship Hall! This event will feature Jubilation Jazz, a 20-piece Christian big band that specializes in patriotic standards and classic mid-twentieth-century tunes.

The concert begins at 11:00am and lunch follows (fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and an apple blossom with vanilla ice cream). Cost is $10 for both the concert and lunch.
