Gospel Priorities 2026
Service

We'll kick off the new year with our annual Gospel Priorities series. Beginning January 4, we will hear from pastors during morning and evening worship on themes related to and discussed in Luke 4. Join us these Sundays as we reflect on what Jesus made central to His ministry and consider how we can follow His example in our own lives today.
Meet our 2026 preachers:
Damon Conley

Damon Conley is one of our assistant pastors at Second, serving our middle adults as well as the Shelby Farms and Germantown parishes. Prior to joining our staff in 2021, he served as the Discipleship Pastor at Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven. Damon earned a master’s degree in Christian Studies from Union University while serving as an associate pastor in youth ministry at Berean Missionary Baptist Church. He went on to earn his M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his church roles, he serves on the boards of Streets Ministries, The Center-Memphis, and NEXUS. Damon is married to his high school sweetheart, Erika, and they have two sons and a daughter.

Justin Varughese
January 18
Justin currently serves as Lead Pastor at Fellowship Memphis. He has been a pastor and church planter for over 20 years with a passion to cultivate kingdom expressions of Jesus’s church that reflect oneness across people groups while celebrating our differences. He had the privilege of being bi-vocational for many years as a trial attorney in New York where he advocated for elderly victims of abuse and neglect. That experience gave him a great passion for what it could mean to empower missionaries into the marketplace in our ever changing world. He’s a graduate of Western Theological Seminary, St. John’s University School of Law, and the University of Maryland. Justin and his wife, Sherry, have two teenage boys.
