Vision Sundays
All Church Event
On August 16 and 23, we will launch our vision and strategic plan for the next 10 years. We encourage you to mark your calendars and join us for these important Sundays as we look ahead to the future of our church together.
August 16
Vision Sunday: Part 1 — 8:15 & 11:00am
Combined Sunday School — 9:45am
Prayer and Communion Service — 6:00pm
August 23
Vision Sunday: Part 2 — 8:15 & 11:00am
Engagement Party — 6:00pm
The first Vision Sunday will be a memorable morning as we worship together and introduce the vision for the coming decade. Our pastors will share the heart behind this vision during worship, and adults and youth will gather in the sanctuary for a combined Sunday School hour to dive deeper into what it means for our church. Children 5th grade and under will go to regular Sunday School, so please drop your kids off before the combined Sunday School.
In the evening, we'll gather in the sanctuary for a service of prayer, communion, and testimonies of God's faithfulness led by our officers as we seek God's guidance for our future together.
The second Vision Sunday will focus on how the church vision applies to each of us, individually. Sunday schools will follow their usual meeting locations and schedule.
In the evening, we'll come together for an Engagement Party designed to help you discover meaningful ways to engage at Second! There will be food in the Fellowship Hall afterwards (cheeseburger sliders, chicken tenders, fruit, veggies, cheese and sausage), so come hungry! Children’s programming will be available for 5th grade and under from 5:45–7:30pm. Kids will be served pizza and enjoy programming! No registration required.
